SUSPENDED! Senator Ovie Omo-Agege led suspected thugs to steal mace at plenary
The Nigerian Senate has said, suspended Senator, Ovie Omo-Agege, led suspected thugs into plenary, on Wednesday, and seized the symbol of authority of the Upper Legislative Chamber, the mace.
This was made known on the Twitter handle of the Nigerian Senate a few hours ago.

Earlier today, around 11:15 am, some hoodlums stormed the Senate chamber and made away with the mace.
The plenary was disrupted as the sergeants-at-arms was seen battling with some of the invaders to retrieve the mace.
Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over the plenary, said the invaders would be punished, and called on senators to settle down for the continuation of the proceeding.
