No pay, no work: Passengers stranded as Dana Air pilots fight management

Published

A clash between Dana Air pilots and the management of the airline has left thousands of passengers stranded at airports.

The pilots have refused to work until they get paid, while the management is maintaining that it has paid all salary arrears.

As a result frustrated and angry passengers are stranded at the airports where the airline has operations, demanding a refund and making alternative flight arrangement.

According to the spokesperson for airline, Kingsley Ezenwa, Dana Air does not owe the pilots. He said the grouse of the pilots was over the delay in the payment of an allowance the management promised to pay.

Ezenwa, however, stressed that it was not part of their salaries and that Dana Air had made the promise on its own accord.

The aviation authorities have yet to comment on the development.
