Buhari has lost control of Aisha, Fani-Kayode says
Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the alleged scuffle between the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, and some aides of President, Major General (retd.) Muhammad Buhari, which resulted in gunshots at the Presidential Villa on Thursday.
According to reports, a mild drama ensued at the State House on Thursday night when security details attached to the First Lady attempted to compel an aide of Buhari, Sabiu Yusuf, to self-isolate after returning from an official assignment to avoid the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) to the first family.
The incident reportedly resulted in gunfire when the president’s aide resisted the security details of the First Lady.
It was gathered that the episode led to the arrest of the First Lady’s security aides by the police who allegedly acted on the orders of President Buhari.
Recall that Aisha Buhari took to her Twitter page on Friday to demand the release of her security details, saying:
“I call on the IGP to release my assigned Staff who are still in the custody of the Police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to Covid-19 while in their custody.”
