Bundesliga: Hertha Berlin hold Bayern Munich to 2-2 draw in season opener
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich were held to a draw by Hertha Berlin on the opening evening of the season.
Robert Lewandowski scored both goals for Bayern but it wasn’t enough against a spirited Hertha Berlin.
Lewandowski’s 24th-minute goal put Niko Kovac’s side ahead on Friday but Hertha turned the game on its head in the space of two minutes.
Dodi Lukebakio’s fortunate strike restored parity in the 36th minute before Marko Grujic capitalised on sloppy Bayern defending.
The visitors were leading 2-1 before Lewandowski equalised from the penalty spot on the hour mark.
