Burna Boy lambastes Davido

Published

Lagos State Police PRO debunks news of Burna's arrest, says It's an old story

So it looks like there’s some sorta subtle shade going on between Nigerian music acts, Burna Boy and Davido following recent posts they made on their respective social media pages.

Afropop singing sensation and record label boss, Davido had taken to his page earlier to announce that he’s up to something and will be letting the cat out of the bag come July.

He took to his story to share a series of snaps and judging from it, it feels like he might be dropping either a song, an EP or an album come July.

See below,

Not long after his post, Afro-fusion singer, Burna Boy took to his own page to drop a cryptic message that references “July”. In it, he says the month will be very funny and he’ll laugh accordingly when the time comes.

His post,

This served as the first phase of why some people think Burna Boy might have taken a swipe at the “Nwa Baby” crooner but not many read meaning to it… not until Davido took to his page to share a photo of himself and singer, Wizkid dubbing the both of them the greatest of all time in the music scene.

Davido, sharing a photo of himself with Wizkid is a rather seldom act which fans get to see as overtime, there have been speculations that there’s an underlying beef between the both of them over who’s better in the music scene.

However, some years back, the pair both graced each other’s stages during their concerts which led many to believe that there might not be animosity between both of them.

Davido’s post both on his Twitter and Instagram pages has since gained massive attention on social media and not long after he posted the photo, Burna Boy also took to his Snapchat to share yet another cryptic message which has people believing that he’s definitely throwing shade at “Daddy Ifeanyi“.

It should be recalled that Burna Boy —self-acclaimed African Giant— not long ago, proved himself to be a big fan of Wizkid when there was a battle of hits which featured the “Joro” singer and Jamaican recording artist, Vybes Kartel — a battle the singer won flawlessly.

The situation with Davido and Burna Boy has since become a trending topic on Twitter with a lot of their fans giving their takes on their subtle posts.

Yvonne Jegede talks about her crashed marriage, liposuction

Yvonne Jegede

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has revealed the secrets behind her curvy look.

During an Instagram Live interview with Mr Paul, the divorced movie star stated that in as much as she’s ready to remarry, her new suitor must meet certain conditions.

“Yes, I did surgery (liposuction) on my stomach after I had my son; so, that made me look curvier. I had the surgery here in Nigeria. I don’t have issues with anyone on earth; I do whatever I want with myself and body.

“I would want to remarry if I find somebody who would love me and love my child. Because, right now, my child is the most important person in my life. I wouldn’t want to marry someone who wouldn’t love my son as much as he would love his own child. He has to love my child 100%, love me too and then the feeling is mutual.

“For my ex-husband, I am not a bitter woman. I am not the kind of woman who would swear for her husband or boyfriend if all didn’t go well. My house is open for my son’s dad to come and see him anytime. In my house, there’s a standing law; you don’t curse or insult my son’s father for any reason whatsoever. The fact that we are no longer married doesn’t mean I should go about laying curses (on him),” she stated.

Speaking further, the thespian cum model reiterated her undying passion for acting, she is quoted as saying:

“I can’t quit acting 100%. Just like my ex mother-in-law of blessed memory, Bukky Ajayi, she acted till her very last minute. I loved her so much, I still do. Acting is a profession that you can do till it’s your memorial. I could quit but not totally, after all, I am an entertainment person. Born in the industry. I’ll be forever here. If not acting, doing all other related stuffs. Aside that, I am a very happy and humble person, my happiness is on default. I don’t need someone to ginger my happiness; it is always there 24/7. As a human, sometimes I get upset, I get pissed, but it doesn’t last long. I don’t pretend. I am still the same girl you see on the screen, happy, cheerful and humble.”
