BUSTED! 18-year-old student steals property worth N1.9million in Lekki
An 18-year-old student, Goodness Amuzuo, who allegedly broke into a house and stole items worth N1.9 million, was on Thursday brought to trial at an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
Amuzuo, who resides at No. 26 Mutiu Olusun St., Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, is standing trial on a three-count bordering on conspiracy and burglary.
The prosecutor, Police Insp. Philip Osijale, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Sept. 22 at 3.00 a.m. at Bablon Bafaj Avenue, off Oguntayo Estate, Ibeju-Lekki.
He said the accused and others still at large, broke into the house of the complainant, Mr Kingsley Udeogu, and stole items worth N1.9 million.

Osijale listed the stolen items as two Samsung phones worth N450, 000, a laptop valued at N700, 000, an android phone worth N600, 000 and two external drives worth N140, 000.
The offences contravened Sections 287, 309 (1) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
In her ruling, the Magistrate, Miss M. F. Onamusi, granted the accused a bail of N300, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She said one of the sureties must be a blood relation of the accused and adjourned the case until Oct. 24.
