Check out what Denrele is doing on CNN
Popular television presenter and one of the foremost cross dressers in Nigeria, Denrele Edun recently appeared on CNN to narrate how he became a name to reckon with in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Denrele, the host of Boots on Eboney Life TV said on CNN African Voices that he had always been an extrovert, but he found it hard to express his individuality and personality, including his queer dressing style early on because he couldn’t muster up the confidence.
The 33-year-old who also works as an actor and a Video Jockey (VJ) said he was stigmatised as a student in University of Lagos where some lectures throw him out of the class and some commercial drivers and conductors wouldn’t let him in their buses because of his dressing.
Listen to more of his story in the CNN video below.
