American singer Cardi B seems to know how to keep her Nigerian fans busy on social media.
Since she visited Nigeria in December 2019, she seems to have developed a strong bond for the country and can’t just get over her experience so soon.
She spent just two days in Nigeria and since she returned to the United States, she has constantly taken to social media to talk about how she misses Nigeria and her desire to return to the most populous black nation in the world.
Just last Friday following fears among social media users of a looming war over the killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, Cardi B had whimsically said she was filing for her Nigerian citizenship so she could flee the US in case there is an outbreak of war.
Her tweet set Twitter Nigeria abuzz, Chairman of Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa also responded to her tweet, telling her she would be gladly received.
On Sunday she posted a photoshopped picture of her rapper husband Offset, wearing an agbada attire, as she asked Nigerians to help her beg him to come to Nigeria with her.
While the buzz created by the post was yet to settle, Cardi B took to Twitter again on Monday to ask her Nigerian fans to choose which Nigerian name they would like her to adopt between Chioma B and Cadijat.
The tweet has kept her fans busy as they post a series of hilarious reactions and suggestions to her question.
While they are making the suggestions, some have been throwing subliminal tweets at Ghanaians to troll them that Cardi B prefers Nigeria over Ghana.
Whether it’s Chioma B or Cadijat or Carpaichumarimarichupako, as long as you don’t go to Ghana, everything will be fine. https://t.co/0ABsT8ZhjW
