CLEARANCE OPERATION! Soldiers kill 10 bandits, capture one alive, recover weapons in Adamawa [Photos]
Soldiers conducting clearance operation in Numan general area of Adamawa State has killed ten armed bandits following an encounter.
This was contained in a statement issued by Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu.
He said the ten bandits were killed during an operation that lasted for one hour.
Items recovered from them include; 18 motorcycles, two dane guns, one submachine gun, one double barrel, four cartridges, 13 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition NATO special and one cutlass.
Brigadier General Chukwu said one of the bandits, Adamu Umar, was captured during the operation.
He said a preliminary investigation is ongoing and that the remains of the suspects have been handed over to the police.
