A yet to be identified woman has allegedly lost five of her children in the three-storey building that collapsed at Ita Faji, Lagos Island, on Wednesday.

The sad incident happened around 10 am as the school was said to be on the last floor.

WuzupNaija cannot ascertain the authenticity of the death of the five children which was shared by one @DrOlufunmilayo, a social media pundit on his Twitter handle.

However, many pupils were feared dead at the collapsed building in the early hours of Wednesday.

The tweet reads:

“Collapsed building in Lagos island.

One woman has lost 5 children to it.

I hope this will not just end in the usual Nigerian “awww” “eyah” and a lot of silly smileys ??????☹️☹️☹️

We have to start investigating and jailing those responsible for avoidable deaths like this.
