‘Coronavirus is not a joke’ – Buhari’s aide warns Zlatan
The Personal Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has slammed popular Nigerian artist Zlatan Ibile for making a joke of the new Coronavirus cases.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday confirmed eighty-six new cases of Coronavirus bringing the total number to 627.
After the news was shared on Twitter, singer Zlatan reacted to the post with laughing emojis.

Reacting, Bashir who felt it wasn’t right to make a joke out of the increasing number of confirmed cases in the country, called the singer out, stating that the coronavirus pandemic is a matter of life and death.
He said ”Zlatan, as President Buhari stated in his national broadcast on April 13th, ‘this is not a joke, it’s a matter of life and death.’’
Recall that the sudden increase in the number of coronavirus cases recorded in Lagos also attracted mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media
