Coronavirus kills Nigerian woman in US
The Kano State Government has announced the death of a Nigerian woman in the United States of America.
Hajia Laila Abubakar Ali reportedly died after contracting the deadly pandemic, coronavirus.
Her death was disclosed on Thursday, 26 March 2020 by the spokesman to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state, Salihu Yakasai.
Yakasai took to Twitter and wrote:
“An indigne of Kano living in America by the name Hajia Laila Abubakar Ali has died of Covid-19. The 60yr old died yday after being infected. She was the elder sister to the Perm Sec of Ministry of Religious Affairs Kano. May her soul rest in peace.”
He warned people to stay at home to avoid contracting the disease.
