Coronavirus: Nigerian UK returnee quarantined in Enugu
A Nigerian who reportedly recently returned from the United Kingdom has been isolated in Enugu state over suspicion of being infected with coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) released the alert through its official Twitter handle
The NCDC wrote,
“The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control is aware of the patient in Enugu, suspected to have COVID-19.
“This is one of several alerts received daily at the National COVID-19 Emergency Operations Centre.
“The patient is in isolation, sample collected and results expected tomorrow.”
Nigeria recorded its first case on February 27.
