Hilarious reactions as corps member refunds excess after he was paid N66,000 allowance
A member of the National Youth Corps (NYSC) has reportedly refunded the sum of N33,000 to the authorities in Kaduna state after he was mistakenly overpaid his January 2020 allowance.
He was supposed to be paid N33,000 but he reportedly received N66,000 which is double of his allowance and the corps member decided to be patriotic by calling the attention of the NYSC officials to the error.
He presented the excess to the NYSC officials in Kaduna State on Thursday.
Another corps member user who witnessed the presentation shared a photo on social media.
WuzupNigeria reported last week that the new national minimum wage approved by the Federal Government last year has become effective on the monthly allowance of corps members who now receive N33,000.
Before the review, corps members were earning N19,000 as allowance.

The corps member’s action seems not to sit well with many Nigerians on social media as a number of netizens have been trolling him for his patriotic act.
