Cosmetic surgery not worth the risk, you go under the knife for a man, he still cheats on you- Queeneth Agbor

Published

Nigerian actress and media personality, Queeneth Agbor, has advised ladies thinking of going for cosmetic surgery to be proud of their bodies.

The University of Calabar graduate noted that going under the knife was not worth the risk.

She said,

“In my opinion, cosmetic surgery is not worth the risk. Everybody should be proud of their bodies like I’m proud of mine. The after-effects of cosmetic surgery are scary. When I watch a television show where botched cosmetic surgeries are shown, I wonder why people put themselves through such horror.

“Some ladies go under the knife because of men and inferiority complex, yet those men end up cheating on them. I’m not judging anyone but I don’t think it’s worth the risk. There’s always something that could go wrong with the implant after a while. You should learn to make people love you the way you are.”

Agbor also stated that one of her most embarrassing moments on set was when she had to kiss an actor who was married to her cousin’s best friend.

She said,

“My most embarrassing moment on set was having to act with an actor that is married to my cousin’s best friend. Almost all our scenes were intimate and there was a particular one that almost freaked me out.

“Because I was nervous, it was as if I was seeing his wife and my cousin staring at us and asking why we were intimate. For the first time on set before the cameras started rolling, I had to take shots of alcohol to remind myself we were just acting. Sadly, the alcohol didn’t work because he was someone I hung out with alongside his wife.”

The actress also maintained that she wouldn’t stop acting, no matter how crowded the industry gets.

She added,

“Acting is my first love and I’m passionate about it. I don’t care if the movie industry is crowded, I would step on people to create space for myself. I’m not leaving acting for any other job but I may do it alongside another profession. The sky is big for everyone to fly and if it isn’t, some birds should disappear or leave the sky.”

Read the statement:

“Our attention has been brought to the Rape allegation trending on Instagram made against the popular musician Dbanj. It is said to have happened at Glee hotel sometime in December 2018. It is alleged that the front office at Glee gave Dbanj the key to a guests room without their consent. We state firmly that this is FALSE and can never happen at Glee. We operate best practices and the welfare and security of our guest is paramount to us. We advice the accuser to check with the person who paid for the said room as her said name was not on record as a guest. Any person who pays has access to two keys for all the rooms paid for by them. We never got any complaints then or at anytime afterwards regarding any form of abuse. We will never condone any form of abuse particularly to a lady at our premises (Glee). we are happy to assist in investigating the matter properly. Our lawyers have been informed and we are taking the matter very seriously. We SAY LOUDLY NO to rape or any form of abuse towards women.

Kylie Jenner: Not a billionaire, but highest-paid celebrity- Forbes

Published

on

American media personality and businesswoman, Kylie Jenner and Kanye West on Thursday topped the annual Forbes list of the highest-paid celebrities, but sports stars, including Roger Federer and Lionel Messi, dominated the top 10.

Forbes estimated that Jenner earned $590 million in the last 12 months, mostly from the sale of a 51 per cent stake in her Kylie Cosmetics line to Coty in 2019.

Jenner, 22, the half-sister of Kim Kardashian, made headlines a week ago when Forbes said that after reviewing data from the Coty sale, it no longer believed she was a billionaire as it had declared a year ago.

West, who is married to Kardashian, followed with an estimated $170 million in earnings, much of it from his deal with Adidas for his Yeezy sneaker brand.

West was also the top-earning musician, followed by Elton John who raked in most of his estimated $81 million from a lengthy farewell tour.

Forbes said the Celebrity Top 100 earned a combined $6.1 billion before taxes and fees, a $200 million drop from 2019 after the coronavirus pandemic shuttered stadiums and sports arenas.

Tennis champion Federer took third place with an estimated $106.3 million, mostly from endorsement deals with the likes of Japanese clothing company Uniqlo and watchmaker Rolex, followed by soccer stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi.

Forbes compiled the list by estimating pre-tax earnings from June 2019-June 2020, before deducting fees for managers, based on data from Nielsen, touring trade publication Pollstar, movie database IMDB, as well as interviews with industry experts and many of the celebrities themselves.

Taylor Swift, who took the top spot a year ago, slid to 25th place after the conclusion of her “Reputation” world tour.
