Nkiru wrote; ”After losing over N200m worth of properties and goods. No compensation from the government. Yet they are heartless enough to be traumatizing the already traumatized residents by showing up to demolish the remains of their buildings and refuse to leave the broken blocks and rods from their own buildings built with their hard work.

” Why not let the owners of these buildings at least sell this stuff and make some money. All the properties lost to the Abule ado Festac explosion, no compensation yet. Then stop disturbing them with your bulldozers damn it.

” Imagine negotiating with a government official on how much to pay for you to leave the remains of blocks and rods from your own building. They demolish and sell it all. That’s the business that has been going on in Abule ado Festac.

” The owners of the buildings didn’t even get to sell even broken blocks from their buildings. They sold it all yet no compensation to anyone. Your pipeline freaking destroyed people’s properties. I weep for this country.

Kebbi incorporates Fulani women

The Kebbi State Government says its policy to train Fulani women on modern production of dairy products would soon commence.
Mr. Abubakar Mu’azu-Dakingari, the Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu of the state, announced this in a statement made available to the Newsmen on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi.
He said that similar priority had also been placed on the modern production of livestock in the state.
Mu’azu-Dakingari quoted the governor as saying this when he made a stop-over along Gulumbe–Ambursa road where he interacted with Fulani women hawking milk.
According to him, Atiku-Bagudu told the women that the administration was committed to modernizing agriculture, including livestock production, in the state.
He emphasized that the state government would achieve this through the training of Fulani women and nomads while modern farm implements would be provided to them.
“The governor assures to provide them with animal feeds for optimum benefit and advise them to enroll their children into schools to enable them to acquire both religious and western education.
“He provided financial support to the Fulani women to enhance their capital as parts of economic empowerment,” the spokesman said.
Responding, the women expressed gratitude to the governor for the gesture and acknowledged his commitment towards improving the socio-economic wellbeing of the nomads.
