COURT DIDN’T TAKE HIS PLEA! Man, 35, rapes neighbour’s three-year-old daughter in Lagos
A 35-year old man has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s underaged daughter.
Festus Ekeku allegedly raped the three years old girl at Okoson Street in Afromedia, Okokomaiko area of Lagos where they reside.
The suspect reportedly returned from work and lured the victim into his apartment, penetrated and injured her private part.
The mother of the child discovered her daughter had been defiled when she wanted to bath her but the three-year-old did not allow her to touch her private part because of pains.

Investigating further, the mother observed that her daughter’s private parts had been tampered with.
She asked her what happened and she mentioned Ekeku as being responsible.
The matter was reported to the Gender Section of the Police Command; detectives arrested Ekeku and detained him at the Command.
During interrogation, the police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates court for defilement.
The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, informed the court that it was a case of defilement because the victim was a minor.
Ekeku was remanded in prison custody as the court denied him bail and refused to take his plea.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice. The matter was adjourned pending the availability of the report of DPP advice.
