Covid-19: Chinese Ceramics firm in Kogi shut down
The Squadron Team On Coronavirus has directed the immediate closure of a Chinese firm, ceramics industry in Ajaokuta, Kogi State.
Addressing newsmen on Friday in Lokoja, the state capital, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo said that the closure order was part of the measure to prevent Coronavirus in the state.
He explained that the firm would remain closed until further notice while the health conditions of Chinese and other Nationals working in the firm monitor in the compulsory isolation Centre.
The Committee calls on Kogites to contact our emergency hotlines in case of any emergency as the Committee is working 24 hours of the day.
“We urge our people not to panic, but maintain simple respiratory hygiene and stay at home” , Fanwo maintained.
He said that “market places, schools and some Government Offices remain closed while Social and religious gatherings also remain suspended till further notice.”
According to him, it is pertinent to note that there is no confirmed case of Coronavirus yet in the State.
