Following the outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria and new positive cases of the deadly disease recorded in some states, video of an Ekiti-based father requesting his son who recently returned home from Lagos which is currently the epicentre of Coronavirus in the country to be isolated for 14 days has surfaced online.
The yet-to-be-identified man is reportedly a retired Road Safety Officer who warned his son to stay back in Lagos till the fight against Coronavirus become a success but the son ignored the warnings of his father and came home.
According to the video which had gone viral, the Nigerian father insisted that his son must be tested and isolated for 14 days before he would allow him into his house.
He added that he doesn’t want to be part of those that will complicate Coronavirus issues in Ekiti state just like the 29-year-old pregnant community health worker who died from Coronavirus after sneaking into Ekiti from Lagos state where she works.
