COVID-19: Firm donates 10 ventilators, PPE to Kano



A  consumer finance company, Zedvance Ltd. on Thursday, donated 10 ventilators and Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE) to Kano State. ‎

Donating the items to Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje at the Government House, the Managing Director of the firm, Mr Eva Obi, said the items would go a long way in containing the spread of the pandemic in the state.‎

“We are supporting Kano state’s capacity to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“We are also going to donate 10 ventilators and  1,500 pieces of N-95 World Health Organisation (WHO) standard face masks to the state.

“We are also in discussion with the ministry of health for the establishment of 100 beds Isolation centre in the metropolis as part of our corporate social responsibility,” he said.

He commended the governor’s effort in fighting the dreaded COVID -19 disease.‎
Obi also commiserated with the government and people of the state over the challenges the state was facing.
He said the firm was one of the biggest lenders to civil servants in the country.‎
Responding, Ganduje described the donations as timely and impressive.
Ganduje commended Zedvance for the gesture and promised to use the items for the purpose intended. 
 
He urged other wealthy individuals and organisations to emulate them.
