COVID-19: Governor Akeredolu signs infectious disease law
Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has signed the Ondo State Dangerous Infectious Diseases (COVID-19) (Emergency Prevention) Regulations, 2020 into law.
The law is for the regulations for the good order, safety, security and public health of the state.
Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, said the governor exercised the aspects of the powers conferred on him by the Public Health Law, Cap. 124, Volume 3, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006, and pursuant to other Laws and enabling powers.

Ojogo stated that all action done prior to the commencement of the regulations to contain the spread of the Coronavirus Disease, 2019 (COVID-19) were ratified.
