COVID-19: Persons being traced now over 6,000, says minister
The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, says the number of contacts being traced for COVID-19 has risen above 6,000.
Ehanire said this during the daily Presidential Taskforce briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
The minister further said the number of persons being infected with the virus is expected to increase this week.
He said the ministry had met with the leadership of the Nigerian Medical Association with a view to bringing back some retired doctors to assist with emergency efforts.
Ehanire further said the Ministry of Trade and Investment would assist in ensuring that the number of masks being produced is scaled up.
