Covid-19: South Sudan VP, wife, test positive
South Sudan’s Vice President, Riek Machar and his wife Angelina Teny have tested positive for Covid-19.
This was confirmed in a statement released on Monday, May 18 by his office. It was further revealed that “a number of his office staff and bodyguards” had also tested positive for COVID-19.
Machar who also confirmed this on state television said he would be on self-isolation for 14 days at his residence alongside the rest of his staff who tested positive for the disease.

South Sudan has so far recorded 347 cases of coronavirus and six deaths.
