Covid-19: Three die in Sokoto
Governor Aminu Tambuwal on Tuesday night announced the death of three out of the 10 people who tested positive for coronavirus in Sokoto State.
This was contained in a two-paragraph statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Muhammad Bello.
The statement read,
“Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has announced the death of three people as a result of the COVID-19 infection.
“All three victims, according to the governor, had histories of other diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure.”
Sokoto recorded its index case on April 19, the second case was discovered on April 23, while the results of eight others who had contact with the index case turned out positive on April 26.
