COVID-19: Vice President Osinbajo tests negative
Vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbanjo, took the coronavirus test following his contact with the Chief of Staff to President Muhammad Buhari, Abba Kyari, who tested positive to the disease.
An earlier report had indicated that President Buhari also tested for the disease but his result returned negative.
Meanwhile, Vice President Osinbajo’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, had on Tuesday disclosed that his principal was in self-isolation.
Laolu confirmed the Vice President’s result on Wednesday.
He said, “ I have been inundated with calls on whether indeed the VP had undergone a COVID19 test and the outcome.
“Yes he has and results is negative.”
