Nigerian internet sensation Abisoye Michael popular on social media as Oyemykke has advised rave of the moment Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy to create a unique identity for himself that would make fans easily identify him.
Oyemykke said this is important in order for the YBNL signee to stand out among other young singers.
Fireboy DML, Joeboy and Rema are the three young artiste presently dominating the Nigerian music industry and they all have dreadlocks.
Some social media users have argued that they find it difficult differentiating between Fireboy and Joeboy because the duo look alike.
Oyemykke, who is popular on social media for his inspirational videos and commentary on topical issues, seems to share the same sentiment.
He said though Fireboy is a very talented singer, many people can’t match his name with his face, making it difficult for many to identify the singer.
He gave the advice in a video shared on his IG page. The video has since gone viral sparking a debate on Twitter about the semblance between Fireboy and other young singers.
“I don’t know how to get to you and Badoo so I don’t know how to say it. Fireboy, right now you’re arguably one of the most talented Nigerians out there.
“No doubt you have one of the biggest albums out of Nigeria right now, but I don’t know what you look like.”
Pointing at the screen of the Television in his room playing one of Fireboy’s music videos, he added:
“See the video, I don’t even know who shoot your video, they don’t show me your face.
“Your songs are doing better than your face. Your face should match your songs bro.
“Till now I can’t say this is what Fireboy looks like, you and five other guys in that industry have the same hair. Find a way to differentiate yourself from these other boys, your talent is unique.”
Fireboy’s debut album ‘Laughter Tears & Goosebumps’, has been adjudged by many lovers of pop culture as a great work and one of the hottest albums by a Nigerian hip hop artiste.
Some social media users who corroborated Oyemykke’s claim said:
Oyemyke told the truth about Fireboy and him not having an image of his own. For someone wth one of the hottest albums in Nigeria, he’s doin a poor job sellin his brand
8 in 10 Nigerians wouldn’t recognize Fireboy if he walked past them and that’s where he really needs to fix up

What He said is the truth!!
Fireboy needs better branding, A friend keeps confusing him with Joeboy
Same thing happens to some influencers here, we know your tweets we don’t know what you look like https://t.co/7oelIkEtA1

Roze’s ‘Ileke’ beats Simi’s ‘Duduke’, tops Nigeria iTunes songs
The latest single “Ileke” by the Nigerian US-based music duo, Roze has hit number one spot on the Nigeria iTunes top songs beating the likes of Simi’s “Duduke”, Adekunle Gold’s “Something Different” and even other international stars like Drake, Adele, Wiz Khalifa among others.
Roze, made up of two brothers, Row and Zuwa Agbonayinma dropped the single and video “Ileke” on all digital platforms on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 and it has since caught fire for its melodic rhythm, powerful vocals and enthralling beat. The title of the song “Ileke” simply means the African waist beads but beyond that, the duo explores the function of the ornament in relation to a woman’s bum and how it defines and accentuates it during dance.
After practically sending the social media into a meltdown with rendition of cover of Rema’s latest single “Beamer” in April, Row and Zuwa definitely are writing their own story of greatness with “Ileke,” shooting themselves to the top of the reef in less than 5 days of the release of the song.
The Top Ten songs on the Nigeria iTunes are Roze’s Ileke at number one, Simi’s Duduke at number two, followed by EESKAY’s Sanitize, Seun Moon’s Ileke, Ladipoe and Simi’s Know You, Natalie Taylor’s Surrender, Hanno’s No Doubt (Featuring Realzy), Sokid’s Away, Adekunle Gold’s Something Different and Mayorkun’ Of Lagos.
Ileke was produced by top producer, Mekoyo and the video was put together by Clarence Peters.
When the duo did a cover of Mavin’s Rema’s “Beamer” back in April the ovation for them was so loud even Don Jazzy himself had to commend them for the effort. Some people who saw the cover on Instablog9ja begged the Mavin’s boss to organise a remix of the song, collaborated between Rema and Roze.
The music duo, born Eghosa Rodney Agbonayinma (ROW) and Osazuwa Michael Agbonayinma (ZUWA) popularly known as Roze are children of politician and music lover, Hon Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma. They were born in Houston, Texas, January 11, 1998 and July 30, 1999 respectively.
Their other songs include like Too Much, All These Things, The Whole Night, Good things, Impressions, Stranded and Patience.
