Davido didn’t hire a SAN to facilitate Zlatan’s release, EFFC reveals
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has refuted purported reports that David Adeleke (aka Davido) facilitated the release of his junior colleague, Zlatan Ibile.
The anti-graft agency said Davido didn’t also hire a Senior Advocate of Nigeria to help in securing the bail of the singer.
However, the EFFC in a statement said: “there is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley; so we can’t afford to release him on administrative bail”.

This is coming after some social media users began to praise Davido for being his “brother’s keeper” and not engaging in lip service like some celebrities did.
EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, who confirmed the reports said Zlatan and the three others were released on administrative bail said,
“There is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley; so we can’t afford to release him on administrative bail like Zlatan and the three others.
“That Zlatan has been released does not mean they have been discharged and acquitted.
“Naira Marley is still in our custody and will be charged to court soon and we will make the charges known in an official statement soon.”
Zlatan was released alongside three others, Tiamiu Abdulrahman Kayode, Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses and Abubakar Musa were released on Tuesday night.
Naira Marley gained prominence for boldly praising internet fraudsters, popularly called Yahoo boys, in his songs and on his social media handles.
WuzupNaija reports that Davido celebrated Zlatan release on his IG page, with the caption;
“Zankuuu Free! People love u sha! Oya go back to making History ❤️ @zlatan_ibile.”
