Davido to perform at 2019 Essence Festival
Nigerian Afropop star, Davido has been billed to perform at the 2019 Essence Festival.
The 2019 event will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, from July 4-7.
Other notable African stars included in the lineup for the event are Sauti Sol, Vanessa Mdee, and Nasty C.
Essence Festival is an annual event by Essence Magazine aimed at celebrating African-American culture and music in the US.
Marking 25 years of advancing the African-American music culture, the festival is set to bring renowned African musicians to the spotlight.
“In celebration of 25 years of moving the culture forward, we’re bringing you unforgettable performances from over 80 of the biggest names in music for a weekend of festivities that you and your squad will be talking about for years to come,” Essence said in a statement.
Recall that the “Wonder Woman” was announced as one of the nominees for “Favorite Global Music Star” category in Nickelodeon Kids’Choice Awards 2019.

International songsters like Drake, Beyonce, Cardi B, Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, Justin Timberlake were also nominees for “Favorite Male Artist & Favorite Female Artist” categories respectively.
