DEMOLITION! Fayose visits Old Garage area, rides in rickety cab to inspect old structures in Ado-Ekiti [Photos]

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has visited Atinkankan in Old Garage area of Ado-Ekiti to inspect old structures that must be demolished for his government’s urban renewal drive to become a reality.

This was made known in pictures shared on social media a few hours ago, showing the governor moving from one house to another interacting with the owners of the affected structures.

Fayose reportedly reached an agreement with the owners on how to pay compensation before the demolition exercise would commence.

Meanwhile, there was a mild drama when the governor stopped a public taxi on the major road to convey him out of the interior. The governor reportedly had a hard time opening the faulty door of the cab before the driver intervened, Fayose hopped in and they drove off.

The governor’s aides were thrown into confusion as they were contemplating on whether to chase the taxi with their legs, look for a commercial motorcycle or look for their vehicle in the convoy.

The taxi driver reportedly stopped the governor opposite Mary Immaculate School, in front of Skye Bank along Old Garage, Fayose alighted and attended to another assignment.

The taxi man waited for him, the governor later joined him again with his Commissioner for Environment, Otunba Bisi Kolawole and he drove straight to the governor’s office.

Commercial motorcycle riders later joined the convoy while residents on the streets waved and waved till they got to the office.
