DISTURBING PHOTOS! Rain kills abandoned baby in Port Harcourt
In what can be described as an inhumane act a baby has been found dead in the rain at the gate of an office in Port Harcourt.
According to pictures shared on Facebook by a lady identified as Cherish Gibson, the baby was wrapped in a white cloth and its little frame squeezed in a brown carton.
The lady who revealed that the baby was already dead by the time she got to the scene said the incident reportedly happened on Thursday around Obio Cottage hospital, Rumuomasi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The lady who showed disgust at such cruel act asked why a mother would go through a painful labour after carrying the baby for nine months then decide to still kill the baby.
She wrote,
“God have mercy o, My heart is pained and am bewildered at this level of insensitivity and sheer wickedness, I mean, how can someone be this inhuman as a matter of fact, this is just the peak.
“It all happened some hours ago just after the rain only for us to find this baby lying cold few steps away from our office gate squeezed in a carton and dumped in the rain to suffocate to death.
‘My pain is, why bear the pains and stress of carrying this baby in the womb for a whole 9months only to still kill him/her? Am not trying to be judgmental here but whatever that led to this action is not just worth it no matter what and I pray God to have mercy on this soul just for tomorrow sake.”
Some Facebook users have condemned the act and quizzed the Facebook user about details of the incident.
