Doctor tests positive for Covid-19 in Bayelsa
A yet-to-be-identified doctor has tested positive for Covid-19 in Bayelsa state.
This announcement was made by Governor Duoye Diri during a meeting with members of Bayelsa state COVID-19 Task Force.
Newsmen gathered that the doctor who works at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Yenagoa was admitted at a private hospital before testing positive for the virus.
It was learnt that the health official travel history showed that he entered the state after a trip to neighbouring Delta state.

The private hospital he was admitted in has been shut down for decontamination.
Governor Duoye Diri said the new case brings the number of active cases in the state to two.
Recall that five other positive COVID-19 patients had been successfully treated and discharged.
