DOMESTIC VIOLENCE! NAPTIP arraigns 40-year-old civil servant for brutalising his kids with electric wire [Photo]
A 40-year-old civil servant identified as Alex Okafor has been arraigned by NAPTIP under the provisions of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act 2015, for an alleged act of violence and inflicting injuries on his children.
Mr Okafor who works at the National Health Insurance Scheme in Abuja, reportedly brutalised his children, two girls and a boy between the ages of 8, 10 and 11, for making him angry.
The civil servant pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
Justice Valentine Ashi, of a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Number 28, sitting in Apo, granted Mr Okofor bail in the sum of N500, 000.
He was ordered to be remanded in prison till he meets the bail condition.
