Veteran gospel singer and evangelist, Don Moen, has debunked rumours of his death with a simple tweet, I’m alive.

Rumours of the death of the highly talented gospel maestro had hit social media on Tuesday, throwing many Moen’s fans into pain and disbelief.

A Twitter user, Olusola Oyediji (@SolaOyediji) had tweeted a post by an American medium, Houston News, announcing Moen’s death to which the multiple awards winning singer replied simply: I’m alive.

Moen’s reply is the first official denouncement of the rumour from the evangelist.

On Tuesday, Moen had uploaded a family photo of himself, his dad, his own son and two of his grandchildren on Twitter, noting that the picture was taking same day.

Nigeria and the global world were thrown into shock when an American medium reported that the gospel singer cum evangelist died after a short battle with stomach pain.

The website had reported, “An American singer-songwriter, pastor, evangelist, Don Moen has died after a short battle with stomach pain.

“His family confirmed that he died early this morning at General Acute Care (GAC) Hospital in California shortly after being rushed to the hospital.

“The cause of his death is not immediately known as the body is deposited at the morgue for autopsy.

“President Donald also has expressed his tributes, saying Don Moen was “one of the best gospel artists that the country has ever produced.”
