YBNL boss, Olamide, has reacted to the criticisms that trailed his latest song titled “Logo Benz” with Lil Kesh.

The award-winning music star defended the music on his Twitter handle stating that “Logo Benz” is for the third party to have a glimpse into the current state of youths in our society.

The controversial track from the former labelmates was produced by Rexxie and dropped on Thursday.

He further stated that the song is too bring awareness to runs boys and girls adding that It’s all over the news and has always been in movies.

Logo Benz is for the 3rd party to have a glimpse into the current state of youths in our society.

“(Runs girls x runs boys)” I’m not sure if there’s anything like 2 much awareness, but pardon me if there is.

“It’s all over the news, it’s always been in movies, don’t box musicians,” Olamide wrote.

This is coming after Nigerians took to their social media handles to express their displeasure over the morale behind the song.

The song has vulgar lyrics like “If money no enter I go do blood money” which many perceived is glorifying and promoting “Yahoo Yahoo”, ritual killings, and other illegal ways of making money.

In the song, Olamide said: “I dey pray to Jesu, k’owo wọ lé o, if money no enter I go do blood money o.” Which means “I am praying to Jesus that money should enter if money doesn’t enter I will do blood money.

Lil Kesh came on next to sing, “pata ni logo Benz, a fẹ́ wa Benz,” meaning a pair of panties is the logo of Benz, we want to buy Benz. He went on singing about how he will enjoy the money of the panties in different ways.

Apparently, most Nigerians think the new song is filthy and deliberately misleading the youths

Recall that that Olamide’s hit single, “Science Student” was also banned by National Broadcasting Corporation because of its unhealthy lyrics.

Many stated that Olmide and Lil Kesh song has no depth and passes no credible message.

One @Ayò Bánkólé @AyoBankole, empathetically stated that the song, “Logo Benz” is “just a shameless promotion of ritual killings and desperation for money at all costs, including human blood.”
