Don’t corrupt our youths with your ‘yahoo yahoo’, Ghanaian actress warns Nigerians
Ghanaian actress Haillie Sumney has warned Nigerians not to infect youths in her country with internet fraud popularly known as ‘Yahoo Yahoo’, prevalent among Nigerian youths.
The actress took to her Instagram page on Thursday morning to sternly warn Nigerians to keep the menace in Nigeria and not export it to Ghana.
She wrote on her IG story,
“Biko you people should keep this your Yahoo Yahoo to yourself in Naija and not corrupt our Ghanaian youths o.”
In the past few weeks, internet fraud has sparked a heated debate among Nigerians on social media. The debates have also divided many Nigerian celebrities against themselves.
While some of the celebrities were publicly justifying the act, other prominent voices like Simi, Ruggedman, among others have outrightly condemned the act.
Simi also shared a video on her IG page warning ‘Yahoo boys’ not to buy her album.
