Don’t leave your polling units after voting – Jegede

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN)has urged his supporters to stay and watch over their votes at their polling units after casting their votes.

Jegede who replaced former PDP candidate, Jimoh Ibrahim at the last minute following an Appeal court ruling, made the call after voting around 10:46am at his polling units in Akure.

He also alleged that plans were ongoing to disenfranchise his supporters. After casting his votes, Jegede and his wife sat at the polling unit while acknowledging cheers from the voters.

“Some have been in the queue for three hours in different parts of the state and they have not been able to vote,” Jegede said.

“INEC should not disenfranchise our voters. After voting, don’t leave your polling units. I too will not leave until the votes are counted. By the grace of God, I will be victorious.”
