Multiple award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician and songwriter, Empress Gifty Osei, has advised married couples not to discuss their marital problems with their pastor or spiritual mentors.

The gospel artiste said it’s advisable to run to God who can solve all problems because running to pastors and spiritual mentors will only deepen your woes”, she added.

The singer said it’s advisable to discuss your problems with one another because sharing problems with a friend or a family member are equivalent to digging one’s own grave.

She further explained that involving a third party will lead to mistakes and give rise to uncertainties.

The singer made these assertions during a talk show with Adom FM’s Work and Happiness show.

She said, “the more you run to people the more you make mistakes. Talk to your spouse first. If you want to part ways, It shouldn’t be a fight and it shouldn’t be a yoke upon your life.

“If you have a problem, don’t go to your pastor, spiritual mother, and fathers. The people you are talking to even want what you have. You have to run to God.”

Some dubious “Men of God” have also contributed to many marriage breakups as a result of unhealthy solutions.
