Dudu-Orume: Hosting National Sports Festival an opportunity for Edo to showcase cultural heritage
The Edo Sports Commission Chairman, Godwin Dudu-Orume, says hosting the National Sports Festival (NSF) tagged, “Benin 2020” will help the state to showcase its rich cultural heritage.
Dudu-Orume, who made the assertion while speaking on Wednesday in Benin, said that there was going to be a platform to showcase all that Edo culturally was endowed with.
“The 20th edition of the National Sports Festival is going to be a novelty of its kind that other states will emulate.
“We intend to show to the world that this state is famous in terms of sports, culture tourism and hospitality.
“We have assured the Main Organising Committee (MOC) of 13 thousand bed spaces, already 10 thousands of it has been approved by the visiting committee,” he said.
The chairman added that the sate also had a backup of two thousand plus accommodation at the Benin Technical College.
