English singer, guitarist and actor, Edward Sheeran, better known as Ed Sheeran has finally confirmed that he’s married to Cherry Seaborn.

Ed Sheeran confirmed the news during an interview with iHeartRadio’s Charlamagne Tha God . The 28-year-old “Shape of You” crooner was discussing his No. 6 Collaborations project in the interview.

Speaking on the lyrics of his new song with Eminem and 50 Cent “Remember My Name” he called Seaborn his “wife.”

The singer went on to say he had written the lyrics before him and Seaborn got married.

“It was actually before me and Cherry got married, and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out.

“Someone’s gonna hear that and be like, ‘Oh, they’re married!’ I didn’t know how that would be construed, but obviously it’s already come out,” he said.

WuzupNaija had reported that the couple had a secret wedding in December months after hinting they had already exchanged vows.

The love birds exchanged their vows in a church in the picturesque Suffolk village of Wingfield, close to Cherry’s parents’ home and held their wedding reception in the village pub.

Ed previously announced his engagement in January 2018, by sharing a sweet picture of the pair on Instagram.

He wrote: “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”

The couple met at school in Ed’s hometown of Frammlingham, Suffolk but didn’t start officially dating until 2015.
