A notorious cult leader, Stainless, has been killed in a gun battle with security operatives in Akwa Ibom State.
This was made known, on Thursday, when the state’s Commissioner of Police, Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, paraded some suspects before journalists.
It was gathered that the deceased cult leader was the successor to the slain most wanted Ukanafun terrorist, Iso Akpafid, who was also killed in a shootout with police on January 15.
Akpafid, who hailed from Ikot Ibekwe in Ukanafun local government area was a notorious killer in the state before his death.
His corpse was reportedly driven around in a police van in the area while residents took pictures of his lifeless body.
Akpafid was on the wanted list of the police for his alleged involvement in killings, maiming, kidnapping and raping of women. It is alleged that his father and mother died years ago following his nefarious life.
