There have been numerous complaints on the nefarious activities of some operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in parts of the country.

Some bad eggs among SARS officials have resorted to assaulting and extorting innocent citizens instead of combating high profile crimes that the unit was created for.  Recently, a day hardly passes by without reading one or two stories about victims of SARS brutality and victimization on social media.

In response to these stories, the Nigeria police in a bid to curb the menace of SARS unlawful conduct, victimization as well as brutality meted on the innocent citizenry, decided to release channels for complaints about erring SARS officials.
