Liverpool maintained their winning start to the Premier League season as a Dean Henderson howler handed them a 1-0 win over Sheffield United.

The newly-promoted side gave the Reds a tough test at Bramall Lane and were on top for large periods of the game.

Jurgen Klopp’s front-three endured a rare off day and a number of missed chances – most notably from Sadio Mane – looked like they could cost them.

But Henderson fumbled a Georginio Wijnaldum strike into his own net in the 70th minute, allowing the Reds to escape with three points and their perfect start to the season intact.
