Ex-Lagos lawmaker receives award of excellence from Ghanaian institute
A former Lagos lawmaker, Mr. Segun Olulade, has received an award of excellence from the Chartered Institute of Public Resource Management and Politics, Ghana.
According to Olulade, a two-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly who represented Epe Constituency II, the 2020 Fellowship Hall of Fame of the institute gave the award.
He said in a statement in Lagos on Thursday that the award was in recognition of his track record of accomplishments in public service.
Olulade quoted Dr. Richards Kpoku, Executive Director of the institute, as describing the award as remarkable.
The lawmaker also quoted Kpoku as saying that he (Olulade) had uncommon professional of global relevance and leadership proficiency.
“The institute is not oblivious of your exemplary landmark accomplishments as a distinguished legislative personality who has traversed the corporate, socio-economic, and public service landscape of Nigeria and the diaspora.
“We salute your leadership tenacity as a greatly revered Pan-Africanist and global resource personality with an enviable track record.
” We salute you, an accomplished public servant and worthy statesman who has made and is still making tremendous contributions toward the progress, peace, and unity of one Nigeria,” he quoted Kpoku as saying.
