Ex-president Jonathan’s security threatened to shoot me after their convoy damaged my car, man claims

Published

Jonathan

A man has taken to social media to claim that his car was damaged by a Toyota Coaster bus on the convoy of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

@ty_mix25 in a post on his Instagram page said the incident happened at Sapele in Delta State while he was on his way to the Igbinedion University, Okada in Edo State for his convocation.

He said the convoy was also heading for the university where the ex-president was to be conferred with an honorary doctorate degree.

The coaster bus while trying to make a turn to avoid the bad section of the road hit his car, damaging his fender and backlight, he claimed.

While he tried to call the attention of the security details attached to the ex-president to the damage, he said the military officer he approached threatened to shoot him.

He wrote:

“‪First of all let me take out time to congratulate Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on his well-deserved honor by IUO, and to bring to the notice of the general public what transpired along Sapele road while his convoy was coming from Bayelsa on the 29th day of November 2019.

“I was on my way coming from Delta when I met a bad spot where I was supposed to cross to the other side of the road, unfortunately, an heavy-duty vehicle got stocked, I reversed to probably look for an alternative root when their convoy arrived and also couldn’t pass. On seeing them, I cleared for them to pass. The white coastal bus with reg number NEM 503 AA (Bayelsa) directly after a Prado Jeep with Reg number BR 120 GWA (Abuja) while reversing destroyed my car light and fender, I called the attention of the driver, and one of the Army attached to the convoy threatened to shoot me if I don’t leave immediately.

“I followed them to Edo immediately after Ologbo where they had flat Tyre and parked at a Gas station, I came down with my female colleague trying to reach out to a lady that came out of the VIP car who I later gathered Is Chief Dr Mrs Nkechi Mbah (former president of NCWS), but the security men pulled out their guns and asked me to get out with my car with one referring to me as a “NOBODY “ they said they were going to Lagos that I should follow them to Lagos.

“As God may have it, they were heading to IGBINEDION UNIVERSITY OKADA, where the president was to be honored with a Doctorate degree alongside myself an MSc graduate from the department of political science and public administration.

“This world is indeed a small place, on Getting to the venue I saw them all, and wrote a piece of note to CHIEF Mrs Nkechi Mbah, for them to at least buy the light while I do the panel beating, she ignored and I decided that the world would know about how the poor are been oppressed on a daily bases by those God had blessed in Nigeria.

“President Jonathan being a world Ambassador of Peace should not be working with people who are tyrants and have no respect for humans irrespective of their status. As I speak my car is still here unattended to. There is God ooooo‬.”

Ekom, who was also a former Secretary-General of Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) was killed late on Aug. 3 at his house in Washo, Akun.

Galadima-Umbugadu described Ekom as a committed subject whose contributions would be missed by the chiefdom.

“Yes, it is true that my subject, who served as the ECDA secretary, was attacked and killed in his house in the Washo community by gunmen.

A 74-year-old Armenian woman was stopped at Munich airport and human bones were found in her luggage, German federal police said on Tuesday.

Officials found the remains in a wooden box and subsequently called on customs officers, a doctor and the public prosecutor to examine the strange case.

Together with her 52-year-old daughter, the woman wanted to fly the bones from her home in Greece to Armenia, via Munich and Kiev.
