A fire on Tuesday razed a container at the Secretariat of the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] in Awka, Anambra State.

Wuzup gathered that the fire started around 2.30pm gutted the container, which reportedly contained card readers.

While the fire raged INEC officials fled their offices.

As of the time of filing the story, firefighters were still battling to put off the fire.

Security operatives, including army and police, thronged the Secretariat to assist.
