Flood sweeps away four-year-old in Lagos
A four-year-old boy has reportedly been swept away by flood caused by the early morning heavy rainfall in Lagos on Thursday.
WuzupNigeria reports that the incident happened at 38, Fashola Street of Olabode Street, Papa Asafa, Orile Agege Area of the state.
Men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency [LASEMA] are currently on a rescue search for a yet to be identified four-year-old child.
An eyewitness disclosed that the incident happened around 10 am during the exuberant rainfall with heavy flooding.
Director-General of LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, when contacted confirmed the incident, saying that the agency received a distress call from a witness.
“Response team from the agency has been dispatched immediately with search and rescue operation ongoing,” Oke-Osanyintolu stated.
