For deciding to quit as her housemaid, woman locks 17-year-old girl inside warehouse
A woman is currently explaining to the Police in Lagos her reasons for locking up and detaining her housemaid in a warehouse at Isheri area of the state.
The girl, who was simply identified as Blessing, said she was locked up on Sunday morning after she decided to quit working for her as a housemaid with her boss, Mrs Mary Idowu, ChannelsTV reported.
Neighbours had attempted to force the gate open just before police officers arrived at the warehouse, but it was impossible.
She was, however, later rescued and taken away by the police while her boss, Mrs Idowu, was also arrested and taken away for further questioning.
WuzupNigeria recalls that in August, a disturbing video of a woman brutalising a boy and locking him up in a dog kennel went viral on social media.
The woman was later identified as 24-year-old woman Onyinye Mbadike. She told the police that she locked up the boy, Chibike Eziamaka, said to be her orphaned cousin, in the kennel because he drank alcohol and was misbehaving.
Eziamaka had lived with Mbadike since 2012, adding that he has been moved to a government shelter.
