A mentally ill man, identified as Ezechukwu Nonso, has reportedly committed suicide in Anambra State.

WuzupNaija gathered that Nonso hanged himself from a tree around 10 pm on Tuesday in Ihiala Uli area of the state.

It was further gathered that the deceased had battled mental health issues for some time, but did not show signs of being suicidal.

Members of the Ihiala Uli community expressed surprise at news of Nonso’s death and called for an investigation.

Nonso’s body was found dangling from a tree in the community.
