FSARS! Arrest 33-year-old notorious armed robber, recover arms and drug in Bayelsa

Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Bayelsa State, have arrested a 33-year-old notorious drug baron and leader of an armed robbery gang, Henry Samuel.

The state command spokesman, DSP Asinim Butswat, in a statement on Tuesday, said the suspect was arrested in Yenagoa on Monday.

DSP Butswat said officers stormed the suspect’s home at Ovom area of Yenagoa and conducted a search after he allegedly confessed to being an armed robber during interrogation.

The force spokesman said the suspect’s arrest followed intensified operations between sister security agencies in the state on the hideouts of suspected armed robbers.

The statement said,

“Upon thorough search of his house, the operatives recovered the following items; one Browning pistol; breech number PK401158 with three rounds of live ammunition; one locally made revolver pistol with four rounds of live ammunition; one locally made single barrel pistol with four live AAA cartridges; one Toshiba laptop; two infinix phones; one Techno phone; four daggers; one basin full of bags of weed suspected to be Indian hemp.”

DSP Butswat also disclosed that the command had intensified efforts to arrest fleeing members of the gang, adding that they would be arraigned in court after investigations were concluded.
