Garba Shehu refutes media claims that 21 new Chibok Girls have been released
President Muhammadu Buhari’s special adviser on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has denied reports in the media that another set of Chibok Girls had been released by Boko Haram insurgents.
There had been widespread information that the girls were released today at about 3pm on Thursday, December 22 and were on their way to Abuja from Yola, the Adamawa state capital.
But the president’s aide denied the reports, saying they were still working on it but had not gotten to that extent when they can rejoice over the release of a new set of the captives.
